Explore West Nile

West Nile’s allure lies not only in its breathtaking landscapes but also in its unique location, bordered by the Democratic Republic of Congo and the Republic of South Sudan. As its name suggests, West Nile stands proudly on the western banks of the mighty River Nile, the longest river in the world, as it flows majestically toward South Sudan.

This positioning not only adds to its geographical significance but also offers an intriguing juxtaposition of cultures and traditions influenced by its neighboring nations.

Spanning across 13 districts, West Nile is a mosaic of diversity, home to a multitude of tribes, each with their own rich heritage. The Lugbara, the Alur, and the Kakwa are just a few of the tribes that call this region home. They live in harmonious coexistence, showcasing a tapestry of cultures that has evolved over generations.
