West Nile Wanderer – 11-Day Uganda Tour

Wake up to an early breakfast as you prepare to head north to Pakwach. On your way, you will have a stop over at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will encounter the territory of the southern white rhinos on foot. And have an opportunity to watch these endangered, magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.  Proceed to Pakwach for dinner and accommodation before which we shall have the evening with community walk to the Pakwach art and craft.

After an early breakfast, you will visit the Wang Lei heritage site, a site rich in history embedded in culture and traditions. Wange-Lei, a place of profound significance and symbolic meaning for Luo people. It is believed that this is where two brothers and Luo founding figures, Nyipir and Labong separated.

Listen to this thrilling story from the locals. Visit the Hybrid eclipse monument  or the Pacer blacksmithing, wood art and craft association, and witness as they curve and shape amazing art on your way to Ajai wildlife reserve.

Transfer to Biku hill after breakfast. Vist the Biku church, believed to be the world’s smallest church. The church can only accommodate up to three people, a preacher and a congregation of two and was founded in 1996.

While in Nebbi, you can also choose to visit the Kucwiny theatre industry or Nebbi Market group for an Alur people's cultural heritage experience.

After a breakfast, head to the top of Arua Hill and enjoy the cool breezes of the morning and hovering history behind the the hill where the union jack was lowered and Ugandan flag was raised. For the rest of the morning, you can choose to visit the Ombaci cultural site to learn more about the people of westnile, their culture, customs and history and or  Explore Arua market, the biggest in the west Nile region before lunch at your accommodation. In the afternoon, head out for a picnic  at Miriadoa waterfalls. And enjoy the captivating moments at the thrilling falls.

Have a relaxed breakfast and visit the only existing pyramid in the area "alikua pyramid" which was built between 1911 and 1930 by the Belgians to mark their territory. You can also choose to visit Mount  of Liru, whose crater is believed to connect to river Nile underground and harbours about 4 caves, one of which can accommodate over 500 people. In the afternoon we shall explore the tripartite point at Salia musala where the meeting point for the three countries of Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan. You also have the option to visit the Adira Historical Site to learn about the historical relation between colonial administrators and the local people.

We shall be exploring the Madi land specifically in Moyo district. In this journey, we shall travel to Moyo and visit the Madi museum, the Emen Pasha's Fort and tour of the town in the evening.

In this Adventure, we shall explore the hidden treasure of the might Obongi land,  known for its hospitality, most of its occupants being refugees. Our main breathtaking activity is the Opi island, A lonely island in the middle of the might river Nile.

Today you will take a trip to Adjumani, connecting by ferry to explore Zoka Forest, the Endriani faith based site and enjoy the refreshment at the hot spring.

After breakfast we shall drive to Entebbe. You will have Lunch en route and if time allows, stop over in Kampala for a city tour before proceeding for your overnight in Entebbe.

If you have time, you can choose to go to Mabamba swamp in search of a shoe bill stock or visit the botanical gardens, the guide will drop you off at the airport for your departure flight back home.
